Alorica Inc. Opens Doors to Students of Florida Gulf Coast University

FORT MYERS, FL., February 26, 2009
Alorica Inc., a leading customer service management firm, today announced participation in the Florida Gulf Coast University, Lutgert College of Business’ Contemporary Management Course. As part of the program, students from the college will visit Alorica’s Fort Myers site, located at 12451 Gateway Blvd, 2nd Floor in Fort Myers today, Thursday, February 26th at 12:30 pm EST.

Participation will include a tour of the Alorica call center and an interview conducted by the students. Students will research Alorica prior to their visit and present industry-specific questions for Alorica’s vice president of operations, Bob Cote.

"Involvement in the local community is important to Alorica," says Bob Cote. "We are proud to help the Lutgert College of Business provide these students with an opportunity to discover real businesses in the surrounding area first-hand, in order to help them carve their career path."

"The purpose of this assignment is to get the students out of the classroom and into the real world environment to find out how business are really being run," said Dr. John Golden, professor at Florida Gulf Coat University. "The students then come back to the class and present their findings. That gives them a chance to connect what they learned at the business site with the concepts we cover in the course. I appreciate the opportunity Alorica is giving the students."
