IRVINE, CA- Oct 1, 2015 – Alorica, a worldwide leading provider of customer management outsourcing solutions, and its client, La Quinta Inns & Suites, teamed up to donate over $70,000 to Fisher House Foundation.
In a ceremony on Sept. 30, 2015 in Irving, Texas, Alorica and La Quinta executives presented a check to support Fisher House’s mission to provide comfortable housing for military, veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment. The donation is part of a three-year agreement between Alorica, La Quinta and Fisher House to advance the care, treatment and support of active military and veterans.
As part of the agreement, Alorica will continue to donate funds with La Quinta to Fisher House through February 2017, and is on track to donate more than $100,000 by end of 2015. The partnership is an extension of the company’s AloriCares diversity initiative, which supports US military veterans and their spouses by connecting them to business and career opportunities within Alorica.
“We appreciate Alorica and La Quinta’s generous donation to Fisher House,” said Dave Coker, President of Fisher House Foundation. “Their generosity will help our organization serve thousands of families, allowing them to be near one another during a critical time in their lives. Furthermore, it shows just how much America appreciates the sacrifices of our military, veterans and their families.”
“Putting people first is embedded in La Quinta’s culture. As part of our philanthropic giving, we want our country’s military heroes and their families to know they are appreciated,” said Angelo Lombardi, chief operating officer at La Quinta. “We are truly honored to be able to say ‘thank you for your service’ and give back to those who have and continue to serve us every day.”
Research has shown how important it is to have family with you as you go through a medical ordeal. This would be impossible for many veterans and military without the support from Fisher House. The partnership with Fisher House and La Quinta was a natural extension of the AloriCares initiative and La Quinta’s military outreach programs.
“At Alorica, we believe in giving back to military veterans by providing career and leadership opportunities at our various locations,” said Marianne Strobel, vice president, AloriCares. “By supporting Fisher House’s mission, we can extend our AloriCares initiative and ensure military and veterans have their families close and are given the care, treatment and support they need to return to military service or civilian life as quickly as possible. We’re happy to have partnered with La Quinta on this front and look forward to growing our donations each year.”
Since 1990, Fisher House Foundation has served more than 250,000 families and provided nearly six million days of lodging to military, veterans and their families.
