Earlier this month, our new Lake Mary site—under the leadership of Site Director, Brian Russell—saw hurricane-delayed “Meet and Greet” plans come to life when they hosted a successful event goaled with hiring 200 new employees. Originally scheduled for Sept. 14, instead, our Lake Mary team rallied together that day to keep water out of their newly remodeled building. In fact, in the wake of Hurricane Irma, 90+ of our team members stayed at the office to deliver insanely great service to our clients and their customers, while also filling sand bags and removing water that had made its way into the building.
Once the weather passed, the entire Lake Mary team, including Angela Albright, HR Senior Generalist, and Jermaine Moon, Culture Champion, then turned their focus to welcoming new faces to the site during the meet and greet. We’re proud to share that the crowds at the rescheduled event were bountiful! Almost 500 potential candidates lined up with smiles and dressed not for just a job, but for a career at Alorica. In addition to hundreds of applicants, a variety of Lake Mary city, police and fire officials attended, including Mayor David Mealor who offered a huge thanks to Alorica for investing in the site and bringing jobs to the area. Local media, representatives from Seminole State College and a valued client were all on hand at this incredible recruiting event.
Lake Mary is currently home to 350 Alorica team members, and is expected to grow to 600 employees over the next six months.
