Alorica’s President of Latin America & the Caribbean Recognized for His Leadership in the Region
IRVINE, Calif. – June 27, 2018 – Miro Batista, President of Latin America & the Caribbean at Alorica Inc., the world’s leading platform for all customer interactions, has been recognized by the 2018 Nexus Illuminate Awards as the Nearshore Executive of the Year. Miro was chosen for this honor because of his exceptional leadership, innovative approach to problem solving, and demonstrated high-impact influence on expanding awareness of nearshore services.

Miro is responsible for managing operations in eight countries within Central America, the Caribbean and South America. In the last two years, he has led the region to grow in revenue by 30%. During his tenure, Miro has also directed the expansion of the company’s footprint, encompassing 20 contact center locations with more than 14,500 local employees.
Most recently, Miro helped Alorica continue to expand its operations in Latin America with two new offices in Jamaica and Guatemala, both which service the largest and most reputable companies in the world. In fact, by the end of this year, we anticipate creating an additional 5,000 jobs in Jamaica through our Kingston site expansion, which will make us one of the largest employers in the area. Miro was also pivotal in the development of the company’s professional development program, Alorica Academy. The six-week course teaches Alorica teams management skills – including coaching, communication and functional skills related to the BPO industry and the company’s own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Specifics from the Academy including conscious leadership, neuro-management to developing action plans and tools to ensure corporate alignment.
